Happy Monday!

A post in all pink is exactly what Monday ordered!

Lets start with lunch yesterday shall we!

photo-65

I made a salad bar style salad, and oh boy was it delicious! It included romaine, spinach, cucumbers, broccoli, peas, cottage cheese, gold fish, and some guac( which was .67 cents as Target!!!!) I have been such a bargain hunter lately!

Iphoto-66

Today’s breakfast was my usual banana oats with some peanut butter, and of course my favorite coffee!!!

Last night I realized I was out of almond milk, which is no bueno, because then I won’t have my coffee, which is never good. So at 10pm last night we ventured out to Walmart, the only place open.  Going shopping when you’re tired is bad, because I left with almond milk, a foam roller, body wash, air freshener, and purse sized Kleenex.

I am really excited to use it! What exercises do you recommend?

  • Do you ever leave a store with more than you planned on?
  • What is your exercise for the day?
  • Favorite breakfast hands down?

Sunday Funday catch up!

Happy Weekend Lovelies!

I hope you have been having a great and relaxing weekend!

On Friday I went to a resale shop that focus’ on horse riding clothes to sell some of my old stuff I don’t use anymore. It is called second round in Barrington.  The owner was so nice and accommodating, I am hoping some of my stuff sells!

On my way home I drove past a whole foods, so of course I had to stop since there is not one close to me!  I realized I forgot my debit card, and only had $10 cash so that inhibited what I bought.

photo-60

I bought some of the vanilla almond butter that I have been dying to try, and in small packs so I can take them to Florida for the Disney Princess Half marathon! I also got some Crofters jelly, and oat groats, to make Heather’s Oatgurt!

Yesterday was a six miler on the treadmill and body pump! I am trying to use up my food before I leave for Florida so my lunch was rather interesting, but turned out AMAZING!

photo-62

Eggs made with shredded goat cheese, avocado, black beans, and hot sauce! It was amazing I definitely will make this combo again!  I have an avocado and a half left any more ideas for avocado?

I FINALLY got this baby after being graduated for three weeks!

photo-63

Now I can send my transcripts in and get my license!

My present from my Dad finally came in as well!  I am so excited that it is pink, and a lot lighter than my old one!

Todays breakfast is a version of chocolate covered Katie’s voluminous oats!

photo-64

Still loving my Donut shop coffee, I may be a convert!

Today my boyfriend and I are going on a date night, I can’t wait to share the details with you all tomorrow!

I am going to leave you with the shoes I am dying for and must have!

  • What would you rather spend money on, new running shoes, or a new running outfit?
  • Favorite avocado uses?
  • Next race you’re excited for?

Fabulous Friday, and V-day recap!

Finally It’s Friday!!!!

I have an appointment for my school to finally release my transcripts so I will be able to take my state board! I am so excited!

I have not posted the last few days because My boyfriend and I celebrated Love day a little early. We used a Groupon that we had to spend the night at the Grand Geneva Resort in Wisconsin!

photo-46 photo-49 photo-51

It was snowy, But the resort is gorgeous!

This is our room, before we messed it up!

We ordered dinner, and watched movies all night! It was awesome! The customer service was great, and I would definitely visit this resort again!

In the morning I decided to check out their gym since I woke up early! I was so excited because they had my favorite treadmills, the ones with TV’s on them!

photo-59

My old gym(Xsport) had them, but my newer gym (Gold’s) Does not, so I definitely miss them!

photo-48

Definitely got a Schweaty workout in!

photo-50

Post workout b-fast was an apple cinnamon chobani, with peanut butter and banana! Also a soy vanilla latte from the coffee shop in the resort!

photo-52

This was the valentine I made for him <3 and yes those are Reese’s cups all over it!

We both have a peanut butter chocolate love!

When we got home we just relaxed, and then for dinner I made the Cheesey spaghetti squash casserole from the Detoxinista!

SONY DSC

I also added some broccoli, and Siracha! It is a boyfriend approved meal!

What are you guys doing this weekend?

Did you celebrate V-day?

What is your favorite boyfriend/husband approved meal?

How to wear red lips for Valentines day!

Happy Midweek Bloggies!

First lets recap lunch yesterday!

When life gives you Goldfish

photo-41

Especially the rainbow ones, you must go make chili and throw them on top so they can swim! Seriously, do it today!

photo-43

Looks gross I know, but it was the best lunch ever so I had to share!!

Target also had some great sales!

I LOVE larabars

photo-39

photo-40

Which I feel like are never on sale so I hardly every buy them, but OMG 8 of them for $6.80! That is only $.85 per bar!  That price is unheard of! I will most likely be going back for more today =)

photo-44

photo-45

They also had this new to me coffee that was on sale! The lady at the check out said this was her favorite brand of K-cups EVER, so naturally I was excited to try them!

Which leads us to breakfast!

photo-42

Peanut butter overnight oats, and my new coffee!

Verdict, tastes like Dunkin’ Donuts, but for much cheaper, I can already tell I am hooked!

I LOVE wearing bright lips, especially on special occasions and when I have a bad day it just makes me feel better!

Valentines day is one of those days that I feel bright red lips are crucial!

So here are my 4 steps to perfect red lips!

  1. To keep your color from feathering out, apply foundation all the way around your lips, to the outer edge.
  2. Line your lips, starting from the inner crease.
  3. Even out any mess by retracing the line.
  4. Completely fill in your lips with liner, then top with a matching lipstick. I also like to go in and clean up the edges with a cotton swab; I even use a small brush and some concealer to make the edges really crisp!

My favorite brand of  red is Smashbox “Be legendary”, I also like the Aveda “Poppy”. When I use red I like one that is very pigmented, otherwise it comes off really fast.  My favorite drugstore brand is L’Oreal Paris Infallible Le Rouge Lipcolor in “Ravishing Red”. Mabelline also has their new ColorSensational Vivids, in “On Fire Red” although I have not tried that one!

Red is associated with love, warmth, and comfort. So show the person you care about this Valentines day, with some red hot lips!

I am not immature, I just like to have fun!

that you do

Oh yeah, all day everyday!

Well apparently if you can run a half marathon, that does not mean you are in shape…

Meet the workout that killed me in 10 min, Jump America!

photo-34

It is rooms full of trampolines! They have these boards you can rent that look like little snowboards. We were not that adventurous today!

photo-35 photo-36

apparently if you flap your arms you will fly!

There were lots of little kids…and then us….who cares we had fun, and now I feel like I am going to pass out, and its only 8:30!

Hope you had a happy Monday!

MIMM =)

Happy Marvelous Monday!

Gotta catch up from the weekend!

Saturday started lovely, well kind of….

photo-32

It decided to snow a ton, so my long run was at the gym! I grabbed a banana and some almond butter and was out the door! Finished 11 Miles!

Lunch

photo-18

Saturday afternoon we had my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins over, and I made a casserole I saw on Heab’s blog

IMG_7606.JPG

My mom’s boyfriend made ribs, but I am not a fan, so I just ate my yummy casserole!

Then we went sledding!

Photo: Cousins going sledding today! The snow is beautiful!

Apparently I cannot keep my eyes open!

Then last night I made peanut butter raisin spread I saw on Fit sugar for my morning oatmeal today =)

photo-33

With half a banana, and it was delicious! Hoping I don’t have a bad reaction to it, I didn’t eat oatmeal all weekend because last week it was giving me some issues, so cross your fingers!

Monday will be marvelous because I am off to spin and body pump! So excited to do both!

Have a fabulous Monday!

How to wax your eyebrows at home! (Save money for Valentines day but still look great!)

Disclaimer: I am a licensed cosmetologist, but if not done properly waxing can be dangerous. Consider the following.  Please read medication labels carefully and consult your dermatologist if you are taking any medication or using any topical cream that contains these medications. Individuals do react differently to these medications and sometimes waxing can be done if proper patch testing is completed.

  • Accutane (Acne medication) – You must be off this medication treatment course a minimum of one (1) year prior to waxing.
  • Adapalene (Acne medication)
  • Alustra (Retin A)
  • Avage (See Tazorac – Acne medication)
  • Avita (See Retin A)
  • Differin (Acne medication)
  • Isotretinoin (See Accutane)
  • Renova (See Retin A)
  • Retin A (Acne and Anti-aging medication)
  • Tazarac (Acne medication)
  • Tazarotene (See Tazorac)
  • Tretinoin (See Retin A)

PRECAUTIONS & CONSIDERATIONS: Please read these valuable guidelines.

  • Sunburned, irritated or areas with open skin cannot be waxed.
  • Moles cannot be waxed.
  • You must wait a minimum of seven (7) days before waxing after a light chemical peel or Microdermabrasion.
  • Waxing cannot be performed if you have been in a tanning booth the same day.
  • Waxing cannot be performed if you have had laser skin resurfacing within the past year.
  • Waxing cannot be performed if you have had a physician administered peel within the past two (2) years.
  • If irritation should occur, recommend you use an antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin to keep the area continually moist to avoid infection and scabbing.
  • No sun/tanning booths for 2 days following a waxing treatment. Extra precaution should be taken if using tanning accelerators. Wait 2-3 days to wax before/after tanning with accelerators.
  • No hot baths for 24 hours following a body waxing treatment.
  • No abrasives for 24 hours following a waxing treatment.
  • No deodorants for 24 hours following an underarm waxing treatment.
  • Women may experience extra sensitivity to waxing up to a week prior to the beginning of their menses.

Before and After:

photo-30 photo-31

(sorry about the lighting in the before, I was in mirror in the bathroom, which has horrible lighting)

Waxing tools:

What You Need

  • Wax warmer or microwavable wax
  • Pre-wax cleanser
  • wax strips
  • Wooden applicators
  • Wax remover for the skin (or you can use baby oil or petroleum jelly)
  • After- wax lotion, or aloe based gel
  • Tweezers

Here is what I used:

photo-23 photo-21 photo-20

I am a professional, so I can buy professional products like Deplieve, before I was a professional I used Parissa wax, which works amazing, you microwave it for one minute, and it comes with wooden sticks, and waxing strips.

Where to wax?

This photo shows how to find your perfect eyebrow shape! Use an eyeliner to mark the spots illustrated!

A (from diagram) ~ hold a pencil or straight edge from the very outer corner of your nose to the inner corner of your eye. Any stray hairs that exceed this point should be tweezed. You don’t want to have your brows start too far in, or too far out for that matter…this is a great starting point.

B (from diagram) ~ now take the same pencil and angle it from the outer corner of your nose to the very outer corner of your eye. This is where you want your brow “tail” to end. You can tweeze any that go further than this point.

C (from diagram) ~ last, hold your straight edge from the outer corner of your eye and go straight thru the eyebrow…this is the ideal spot for your arch to be. Tweeze any hairs in this area that are strays, concentrating on the arch area, but remembering not to over-tweeze.

Proper cleansing and care:

Use pre-wax cleanser on eyebrows and surrounding skin.  When done with waxing remove any remaining residue, with wax remover, baby oil or petroleum jelly.

Here is what I used:

photo-24 photo-22

Again, professional products, the Parissa wax comes with a liquid for after waxing.

How to properly apply wax and wax strips:

Apply wax evenly in the direction of hair growth using applicator (wooden stick) to the hair shaping the underneath of your brow. Be careful! You want enough wax to thoroughly cover hair, but not so thick that the wax seeps onto hair that you don’t want to remove. Apply strip in the direction of hair growth, leaving some leftover strip at the end not attached to hair like a tab (say hair grows from left to right- leave leftover strip on right side). Press and firmly smooth hand over strip in the direction of hair growth a couple times, to ensure wax is attaching to hair and has slightly cooled. Grasp onto the end of strip that isn’t attached to hair. Hold skin taut with one hand, and remove strip in opposite direction of hair growth in one quick pull, all the way to the other side. Don’t pull up, which might be your natural inclination. Press hand down on skin to help relieve some of the pain, after strip is removed. (Sounds silly, but it works!) If a little bit of wax with hair remains, simply put strip back on hair and pull off.

Remember be careful! If you have any questions do not hesitate to email me at PBRunnerGirl@gmail.com, or comment below! Send your before and after pics, enjoy =)

To eat the dairy, or to not eat the dairy?

Happy Thursday Ya’ll!

Today started out with 5 miles per my training plan, which I based off of the lovely Peanut butter fingers training plan!

Then I made a lovely bowl full of my favorite oats!

photo-28 photo-29

and of course a mug of Mocha Java with almond milk and Stevia!

So onto my issue I am going to share.  For the last few weeks in the afternoon I have been getting really bloated and gassy.  It has been really annoying, but I feel like I cannot pin point one food that would be doing it. Any ideas?  I’m going to avoid dairy first and see if that helps!

Thanks for listening to my issues and have a lovely day =)

1st WIAW!
